On behalf of Mulanje Mountain Conservation Trust African Heritage has conducted a cultural heritage inventory of Mulanje Mountain in preparation of the Mulanje Mountain Cultural Landscape World Heritage nomination dossier. The study included archaeology, built heritage and intangible cultural heritage, and offered guidelines for a heritage management plan. In addition, it  made an inventory of relevant materials in the National Archives.
